Almost everyone knows that having a to-do list increases our productivity by leaps and bounds. What many people miss out on is the effectiveness of the to-do list.

Today we are going to see how to make an efficient and easy to-do list.

First off what we need are the following day’s tasks.

List them down randomly, do not think about scheduling now. That is for later.

Then, Take your waking hours and divide them into 4 quarters. For example, I wake up at 8 am and go to sleep at midnight i.e, I have 16 hours left. Divide it by 4 and now each quarter has 4 hours.

Delegate timings for each quarter. Mine are 8–12 noon is the first quarter, 12–4 pm is the second quarter, 4–8 pm is the third quarter, and 8–12 am is the last quarter.

Now schedule your tasks according to the time and write each quarter’s task separately. This will condense your list and make your brain focus on things to do at hand, rather than freaking out on the tasks left.

NOTE: If you miss a task and the task was not that important, please skip that task for the day and move on to the next task. Stressing out on unnecessary incomplete tasks reduces our productivity.
